Our Sustainable Commitment

“I’m L.F, Sustainability Manager at Eurocell. We are all aware that protecting the environment and our resources is of vital importance. Hence my commitment to research and testing was focused on finding a biodegradable and compostable packaging solution.”

Sustainability is an intrinsic part of Eurocell’s corporate policy. The choice of environmentally friendly means of production, the careful use of natural resources, and social responsibility towards everyone involved in the value chain have been the company’s three guiding business pillars over the years, enabling it to implement the idea of “sustainable future packaging”.

At Eurocell, sustainability stands for

Indeed, the biggest challenge was to maintain a quality product while respecting the environment.

Our “sustainable future packaging” product line reflects what packaging will be like in the future, with its three key features:

  1. BIODEGRADABLE and COMPOSTABLE – made from materials that are able to decompose under certain microclimatic conditions as a result of the action of microorganisms and bacteria. The product complies with specific chemical, biodegradability, disintegration and eco-toxicity criteria laid down by standard EN13432.
  2. RECYCLABLE – made from recyclable materials, i.e. that can be processed and transformed for new use even when they become waste for disposal after use.
  3. QUALITATIVE – an excellent barrier against external agents, without altering the organoleptic properties and texture of the food selected and packaged.

Responsibility, Safety and Respect for the Environment

The principles of Responsibility, Safety and Respect for the Environment are embedded in our product, and this has been the biggest challenge for us, which continues to yield remarkable results in terms of customer satisfaction.
